€30,000in technology and strategy support

UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

A program aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals

Genial 4 Good doesn't back technology for its own sake: every selected project serves an identified Sustainable Development Goal.

  • UN Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality education
  • UN Sustainable Development Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth
  • UN Sustainable Development Goal 9: Innovation and infrastructure
  • UN Sustainable Development Goal 10: Reduced inequalities
  • UN Sustainable Development Goal 17: Partnerships for the goals

Our approach

Our mission

At Genial, we believe in ethical, responsible artificial intelligence that can have a positive impact on society. That's why we launched Genial 4 Good, to help organizations in the social and solidarity economy through their digital transformation with AI.

Our commitment

Genial 4 Good provides €30,000 in support, both technological and strategic, to nonprofits, associations and social enterprises, giving them our artificial intelligence expertise to build innovative solutions that meet their specific needs.

An hour of paperwork saved at a nonprofit is an hour given back to the field.

Call for projects

Selection criteria

Applications are assessed on four criteria, weighted equally.

Social impact

The project's ability to deliver significant, measurable benefits for the community it serves.

Innovation

A creative, original use of generative AI to address a concrete social problem.

Design

The project's feasibility: concrete delivery, by available teams, within the set timeframe.

Sustainability

The project's potential to last and evolve once the support ends, without depending on us.

Apply

How to apply

Interested organizations apply through the online form, describing their project, their expectations and their interest in generative AI.

  1. You submit your application

The form takes a few minutes: who you are, the project you're leading, and the tasks where your teams lose the most time today.

  2. The jury reviews the projects

Each application is assessed on the four selection criteria. We get back to every applicant, selected or not.

  3. The winning project gets support

The grant is delivered as consulting, development, training and follow-up, until a first use is truly in the teams' hands.

The support

We speed up AI adoption at nonprofits

Artificial intelligence is a strategic lever for transforming nonprofits. The grant is delivered in four strands, activated according to the organization's maturity.

Strategic consulting

Setting goals and performance indicators, and spotting the tasks where AI truly gives time back to the teams.

Development

Designing and implementing custom AI solutions: agents that draft grant applications, meeting notes or activity reports.

Training

Upskilling teams on AI tools and methods with Genial Academy, with no technical prerequisites, for staff and volunteers alike.

Personalized follow-up

Support throughout the project to make it a success, measuring real adoption rather than the number of licenses opened.

Who it's for

The organizations we support

The program is for organizations whose social purpose comes before financial results. The criterion is the project's impact, not the organization's size.

  • Nonprofit organizations
  • Associations and foundations
  • Social enterprises and cooperatives
  • Work integration and disability organizations
  • Community education and research
  • Public-interest projects led by local authorities
“The difference between a positive and a negative impact of AI doesn't lie in the technology itself, but in the leaders who use it.”

Frequently asked questions

What organizations ask us before applying.

Who can apply to Genial 4 Good?

Genial 4 Good is for nonprofit organizations, associations and foundations, social enterprises and cooperatives, as well as work integration organizations and public-interest projects. The criterion is the project's social value, not the organization's size.

What does the €30,000 grant consist of?

It is support that is both technological and strategic, not a cash payment. It is delivered in four strands: strategic consulting, development of custom AI solutions, team training with Genial Academy, and personalized follow-up throughout the project.

How are projects selected?

Applications are assessed on four equally weighted criteria: the project's social impact, how innovative its use of AI is, how feasible its design is within the set timeframe, and its sustainability once the support ends.

Does our team need technical skills?

No. Geni agents work in plain language and Genial Academy training requires no technical prerequisites. The people we support are program officers, directors and volunteers, not developers.

What happens to our organization's data?

It stays hosted in Europe and is not used to train any model. The organization owns its context and can switch model providers without losing what has been built. The program doesn't trade sovereignty for the grant.

How can we sponsor the program?

Companies that want to add to the grant or sponsor an organization can write to the Genial 4 Good team. Sponsorship funds support for additional projects in the same round of the call for projects.

Before applying, you can measure your organization's AI maturity with the free AI self-assessment, explore the Genial Academy training program, or read who we are.

Leading a public-interest project?

Tell us what your teams do by hand today. We'll tell you honestly whether generative AI can give them time back.
